Carl Badenhausen
I strongly believe in the positive impact of creating and living in a beautifully designed environment.
A problem-solver at heart, Carl was drawn to architecture because each project is a unique design response – no two are alike. Growing up in northern New Jersey, the skyline of Manhattan provided a daily backdrop of buildings, but imagining the life within inspired his lifelong interest in shaping spaces for people.
Carl earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he studied architecture, landscape, and urban planning. After gaining experience working for a global design-build firm, where he managed BIM standards and software integration to enhance innovation, he continued his studies. Carl earned his master’s in architecture from New York’s City College and completed his degree at Hochschule München (Munich) University of Applied Sciences. Studying in dense urban environments cultivated his interest in adaptive reuse and revitalization, as well as working with the intricacies of existing buildings.
Carl enjoys experimenting with various 3D modeling software tools to create immersive architectural representations that allow users to visualize and course-correct designs. Outside of the office, he is an avid surfer who designs and constructs his own boards.
